So in preparation for my upcoming surgery, I got all hypnotized.
It was to assist with pain management and anxiety following the operation.

It was cool. The hypnotist asked me to imagine myself in a place where I felt most relaxed. She asked me to monitor my breathing and imagine myself in a safe, dark place.
Who knows if it worked? But admittedly today I felt almost euphoric...in spite of some other craziness going on.
